On Arriving:
  • One key open all doors except the "family storage"
  • Turn hot water on only as needed
  • Hot water for living area, kitchen, shell bedroom and bathroom is located in storage room downstairs
  • Hot water heater for laundry room, blue and green bedroom and bathrooms is located in the laundry room.  Turn this one off at the switch by the heater, not the breaker

Reminders:

  • No pets inside the house
  • No smoking in house
  • No bottle caps or cigarette butts on gravel
  • Switch to dock light is downstairs in the living area by the A/C unit
  • A/C unit for the living area, kitchen and shell bedroom and bathroom is in the living room
  • A/C for the blue and green bedrooms, bathrooms, and laundry room is in the green bedroom
  • The switch for the outside front light is behind the headboard in the shell bedroom
  • The directions for the appliances are filed in the desk
  • No eating in the bedrooms or on the living room furniture
  • Maid service is $20.00 per hour with a 5 hour minimum

Departure:

  • Turn both A/C's to 80 degrees
  • AC downstairs also stays on 80 degrees
  • Turn off both water heaters
  • Close all windows and blinds
  • Spread out all wet towels, do not leave in the washer
  • Do not make beds unless sheets are clean
  • Turn off dock light
  • Do not put anything up with salt or sand on it, including tools
  • Set trash out at curbside
  • Put all house trash outside when you depart
  • Be sure all doors are locked

Rules for Trash, Garbage, Landscape Material and Recycling:

  • Bulk Trash:  Non vegetative large items of various types which cannot be cut for placement as a bundle or put in a garbage container.  Onyx will provide on a call in basis and will pick up items within 5 business days.
  • White Good:  Includes refrigerators, washer dryers, ranges and other similar large appliances.  Onyx will pick up within 5 working days of receipt of request.
  • Garbage:  Accumulation of animal, fruit, vegetable or organic matter that attends preparation of foodstuff.  Garbage containers not to exceed 32 gallons gallons or 50 pounds in weight.  These will be picked up two times per week when placed within 6 feet of the roadway.
  • Yard Trash regular:  Vegetative matter resulting from normal yard and landscape maintenance.  Must not exceed 4 feet in length.  Vegetation must be containerized or bundled and tied.  An unlimited number of container or bundles may be placed for collection with no single item exceeding 50 pounds.  These items will be picked up once per week.  Uncontainerized large quantities of Bougainvillea, citrus trees, or other thorny vegetation will be picked up upon request from the resident.
  • Yard Trash Oversize:  Large cuttings of vegetative matter which cannot be cut for containerization or bundling.  Will be picked up within 5 days working days of request for service.  Call your local provider.  this is not funded by the village but billed separately to the customer by the provider.
  • Recycling:  Newspaper, aluminum cans, polyethylene plastic, clear/brown/green glass from food and beverage only corrugated cardboard broken down and placed beside recycling bin.  Service is provided once a week.
